for educators

Whether you are a guidance counselor, teacher, advisor, or school administrator, the Enzweiler Building Institute offers a variety of outreach opportunities to support your students.

Onsite Presentations

We frequently speak in schools, both formally in classrooms and informally through display tables or onsite exhibits. We can detail the great careers and salaries available in the construction industry, including electric, heating & air condition, welding, plumbing, carpentry, facilities maintenance and more.

We love to host tours and meetings in our facility. If you would like to bring a school group for a tour, or if you are looking for a place to meet with your colleagues, the Building Industry Association may be a fantastic option.

One-on-One Meetings

If you have students or families who would like to know more about the skilled construction trades and the programs available at the Enzweiler Building Institute, refer them to us. We will schedule a meeting to address their specific questions and discuss the great career opportunities available in the building industry.

The Construction Career Connection (CCC) and the Big Dig

The Building Industry Association is the proud sponsor of these annual events. The CCC is a unique, free, field trip where students in grades 7-12 participate in hands-on activities about the skilled building trades and operate large construction equipment under the supervision of our skilled operators. Many schools consider this to be the “premiere” field trip of the year. The 2020 CCC will be held on Friday, April 24 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Boone County Fairgrounds. Reserve the date and reach out to Vicki Berling for more details. The next day (Saturday, April 25), families with children of all ages can experience the Big Dig, also at the Boone County Fairgrounds. Details to come.
