EBI programs
The curriculum is 100% centered on professional practice as electricians and is heavily rooted in teaching the electric code. Classroom discussions and activities help students understand relevant theories and how they apply on the job. The Electric Program is approved by the State of Kentucky Office of Housing, Building and Construction-Electrical Section as a licensing education program. The curriculum is designed to prepare students for the ICC Electricians exam administered through the State of Kentucky. Students may be eligible to take the examination at the conclusion of their second year of the program and continue to hone their knowledge as electricians in the final two years of schooling. In total, the program provides 576 instructional hours over four years.

26 weeks per year for four years
156 hours per year – 144 hours per year required for Journeyman Licensure
6-9pm, 2 nights per week
Kentucky Department of Housing, Buildings and Construction Approved Educational Provider. Enzweiler Building Institute Certificate
Upon successful completion of the Electric Curriculum at EBI and the Kentucky Electric Journeyman License, students can receive 39 transfer hours to Gateway Community and Technical College toward the Associate of Applied Science degree in Manufacturing Industrial Technology: Electric Technology. Students are advised to talk directly to Gateway regarding admission procedures.
